Keep an eye on the courses at The Accidental Smallholder - we're planning to run "Starting with Sheep" courses this year.

It depends on the scale of your intended sheep venture.  There are courses run by the agricultural colleges but they are aimed at the commercial producer, with information which doesn't always translate well to a smaller scale enterprise.
Rosemary's courses sound the bizz if you are intending to rear sheep on a small scale.

Thanks very much for taking the time to reply folks. It will just be a small scale operation so the smallholder courses sound ideal!
