I just found a large tub of out of date greek style yoghurt - 22nd December. I opened it and apart from the horrid gungy stuff around the top it actually tastes normal. Is it OK to eat or is there something else I can use it for - otherwise the dogs can have it.
-
I'd eat it. As long as the tubs of dairy products remained close I find they're fine.
-
i'd be tempted to use it as the base for a masalla sauce or equivalent so it got thoroughly cooked but serves a use

Ah well, there's the problem, David - I don't cook. :eyelashes: Guess I'll have to try it. :fc:
-
sorry i assumed you could cook...
in that case maybe chicken food???
-
i would use it for tandoori chicken.
when you say you dont cook doganjo, do you live on ready meals or take aways? im confused. ???
-
Yes, ready meals, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, and omelettes :innocent: Just me so it's OK
-

-
How do you know that? :eyelashes:

to be frank, im absolutely gobsmacked annie, i had you down as an awesome cook, only the best ingredients, local meats, good wine. etc etc. and haggis...

cos many is the time you have mentioned on here and in person that porridge is your preferred breakfast!!!

Strangely enough, I am a good cook, I also cook too much but, If I were on my own I think it much cheaper to buy ready meals and have nothing else in the house, that way I would certainly loose weight as I cook vast quantities of food that last days!!!!!! I always freeze stuff for quick meals and buy the 10p bargains when they are available and make soup or stocks.
My husband worked away and he bought some very cheap nice meals......and instant porridge, he usually makes porridge every morning and adds honey......Oh, I would add that yog to curry or something, I make a wonderful curry that last forever and the wind it creates is also tasty :innocent:

BB dates and UB dates are for guidance, the grade 1 human eye and nose are still the best.
If it doesn't smell funny, look funny, taste funny, or emit gas, I'd eat it. :)

Couldnt agree more. Deffo!! I eat plain yog months past its official date - as long as it it isnt green (although never seen that in an unopened one) I recon the 'good' bacteria in it keep the baddies at bay. There are lots of foods to be careful with but yog isnt one of them. enjoy

Well I had three dogs and a cat watching me carefully last night, so I decided to share it with them - and we're all still here! :relief:
Thanks folks!
