Often we get police with pic of missing persons, come here, sometimes they are running away and book into B&B's.
I cannot begin to think how worried her family are

Parents must ber frantic. I hope she has the sense to go home or is found soon.

Great news, it must be such a relief that she is now safe and sound.
-
yes. there are other details that im not at liberty to share but an older man has been involved and is i believe in custody now. my daughter turned 13 today and its something i wouldnt be able to bare. her poor mum has been in bits.
-
He should be strung up by his you know whats. So glad that she has now been found. I hope she manages to recover well from her ordeal.
-
So glad she is home, some good news
Sadly not always the case, when I worked in childrens homes girls that age went missing, trouble is, the other children knew where they were but would not say, I suspected they were taken for the sex trade.....some sick people around >:(
-
a child ids reported missing every 3 minutes in the uk...
-
Such a relief to hear she is home :relief:
-
Thank goodness they found her
-
Oh thank goodness she's home. As for the bloke, I have a set of burdizzo's round here somewhere >:( >:(
-
As a youth worker, the hardest thing to explain to a young person is how gullible they are......some pervs know how to be sooo "nice".........and young people parents keep stopping them from having "fun"...just glad my girls got through that stage relatively unsaved!!

I am glad your friends daughter is home safe, but that is an awful statistic, i had no idea.
Why is it given so little publicity? We should be faced with pictures of these missing children rather than bl**dy adverts online. Have we ever had milk carton kids in the UK like they do abroad?
-
the reason there is so little publicity is BECAUSE a child goes missing in the uk every 3minutes. www.missingpeople.org.uk (http://www.missingpersons.org.uk) so all you would ever see is that publicity all the time. instead they leave it to friends and family to do it. when my ex went missing we had to do the same. printing posters and flyers etc etc
-
Thanks DiTW, I will make a point of looking on there regularly.
What a horrid country we live in nowadays. I dont think the "good old days" meant there weren't any bad things happen to children but I do think it is a far worse place for them these days.
-
There are a lot of men like Jim (of fix it fame) around, they know how to groom children and young adults.
I shall look at the list too but we only take in workmen now, not tourists as I often worried in case some man and a girl booked in and wanted a shared room...thankfully it never happend :relief: The link is not working, I do sometimes look on local police sites, there is a missing lad at the moment!!
-
www.missingpeople.org.uk (http://www.missingpeople.org.uk)
that should work, sorry.
-
It didn't work as a link but did when I typed it in.
How is your friend's daughter?
-
not sure tbh, i should imagine theres lots of stuff to sort out. it was a heavy situation so we are all just leaving them be till the police have done all they have to do. the main thing is shes back. cornwall blitzed it on fb tho, get on! her picture was everywhere!!
