Sadly 1 of my new females died a few weeks back so I am looking to get a few more to satisfy our boys needs so 2-3 females needed south shropshire x

No BR hens, alas, but if you just want to keep the number up I have a Crollwitzer X hatched here last July that's looking for a new home. We breed pure Narragansetts and she sneaked into the hatching eggs somehow but once breeding begins she'd be on her own. White with black edges, slight marbling on wing feathers. Healthy, well grown, used to people. We're in NE Herefordshire.

Hi how much would you be after for her as ideally I want to breed them pure but you'd be able to tell the purebred poults from hers I'd have thought - is she laying? x
-
Not laying yet. Our late July hatch usually starts at the end of January. Last turkey hens we sold at market in October went for £23 each, although they were a year older.

Ok I'll think about it as I'm off to a sale in a few weeks & if I cant get hold of any I'll be in touch x
-
Just to let you know that our Crollwitzer X hen will be going to the poultry market on 21 February if not sold before.

Ok ta which markets that sorry as Herefords the only local one I know & that's always been on a Wednesday otherwise I'd go x

Hereford Market moved from the city centre to a new one on the Roman Road west of the city in 2011. Poultry market days are now on the first and third Thursdays of each month and coincide with the pig and cattle sale days. Auction generally begins at 10.00. There are other special poultry markets during the year: rare breeds on a Saturday and for Christmas. No sales in January.
