We've decided this year to try to start offering egg-hatching packages to local schools. So far, we've only approached the local primary in our village who agreed to a hire straight away! Now I've got to buy an incubator for this project as our old one is huge and has very poor visibility of the eggs. Anyone got any experience of smallish (10-20 eggs), automatic incubators with good egg visibility that they would be willing to share? :chook:

I've got no complaints about our R-com though I know some people don't like them. Next time I'll probably buy Brinsea though. Used to sell them at a place where I worked and they're good quality and the after sales service is excellent. Their small ones that take about 7 eggs would be ideal I think.

yep really happy with our brinsea octagon 20 - I guess you'd have to add an auto turn cradle.. What a great idea - good luck!

I've received an octagon 20 Eco for Christmas. It takes up to 24 eggs, is thermostatically controlled and has an automatic egg turner. It has good visibility but I'm afraid I haven't used it yet to know how good it is :thinking:

R com 20 pro. brilliant. I've used it for my lads school. Superb visibility (lots of little heads can peer in), it sings a little ditty every hour that gets the kids all excited and keeps reminding them of what is in store, really reliable on the temperature and humidity front and doesn't need topping up with water that often (once or twice). Thumbs up from me :thumbsup:

We used our Brinsea Octagon 20 for hatching at school worked fine.
