Post by: deepinthewoods on December 29, 2012, 02:58:54 pm
radio 4 had its annual 'predictions ' show on earlier.

so, what are yours?

my particular one would be, the impending restriction of internet freedom, i predict that pretty soon you wont be able to search for facts anymore, youll just be given the state approved political line.

I predict it might stop raining.

On which particular day?  I'll get all the washing done so I can put it outside.  Does anyone remember hanging washing out?

I predict that we will lose more and more freedoms that have been held as custom and practice for hundreds if not thousands of years and it will all be done under the table .
The freedom of information act will be short circuited  at almost every opportunity by the information hoolders sayijg it will scost more than th allowed spend to get that information out.
So much for transparancy in governamce and public accounts
I also predict that there will not be any referendum of any kind wrt withdrawing or majir changes to EEC / Euro club rules . Brussels will try and stamp on anything that is unique to any member country all in the name of the big community being inn harmony right across its rotten influence.

there was never a 'prophecy' from the mayans saying the world would end anyway.  it was a modern 'interpretation of a mayan calender, that freaked a load of old hippies out.

my 2012 'cornwall today' calender is about to run out too.

I predict that I will get lots of treasure from tatting the festival site once it is all over (Dave bring a van ;) )
I predict that unless Mr Colliewoman get his arse off of world of wanks tanks and actually notices me then he is going to get a swift kick in the fork very soon ::)

I predict that I will be making hay (on my own) in July :sunshine: :sunshine: :sunshine:

Supposed to be dry here tomorrow. I've already got the machine full - will set the timer, so I can hang it out as soon as I get up... I know that all the neighbours will have their stuff out, too. Nevermind Christmas or New Year - washing is more important!

It only means that by the end of the day (all of its 7 hours) it'll be slightly less wet, so the house won't steam up quite so much.  ::)
