I had a savoury roulade for lunch and it was very nice. I am looking for a tried and tested recipe please.
thanks

Delia's "Cheese and Parsnip Roulade with Sage and Onion Stuffing" is lovely.  It's on www.deliaonline.com (http://www.deliaonline.com). It's not something to whip up quickly, but it's worth it.  It can be a vegetarian Christmas dinner, too.

Mary, the one I had was smoked salmon in some sort of cream with parmesan cheese over the top. to be honest I am not a smoke salmon lover. Although this was good I would probably make the roulade with mushrooms and maybe bacon or chicken.
From the recipes I have read it seems that you can put almost anything inside. Its the 'swiss roll' bit that is confusing me. Some recipes use flour and/or white sauce in the making of the roll itself and others don't.
I am going to look at Delia as Wendy has suggested.
