We are looking for a sitter for our small smallholding. For feb 15th - 22nd
We live in Staffordshire on the edge of the Peak district and have 8 sheep, 4 pygmy goats 6 lovely whippets as well as the usual rabbits hamster etc.
please message me if interested

I would also be interested in knowing if there are any experienced small holding sitters around Wiltshire. I don't go away often but with 6 goats, 3 ponies, 3 dogs, chickens and a small flock of sheep it can be a problem.
-
Hmmmm  perhaps a business opportunity for someone
-
Lots of horse sitters will also do livestock so its worth googling/looking for fliers for horse sitters.

There is a lady on here called Assist ACS who does a great job , I can personally reccommend her. You will find one of her posts on the goat section.

The link in the last post won't work for me.

:'( Sorry folks - put a / instead of a full stop in the web link, dhurrr! More haste, less speed as they say. My excuse is the herd of alpacas peering forlornly through the window at me because yet again it is pouring with rain and their field is now very muddy, though they have a shelter, were fed at 8.30am and their rack is full of sweet meadow hay. I digress. The correct address however should show up under my siganture. It is http://www.assistyg.co.uk (http://www.assistyg.co.uk) which is the home page. Or the separate specific website is at http://www.assistanimalcareservices.co.uk (http://www.assistanimalcareservices.co.uk). Best wishes from Yvette Greasley ([email protected]) or phone 07969 802258.

Yvette was great with my goats. I would certainly go straight to her if I needed a sitter for my animals.

I am very close to Firemansam, and would help out if I could ......but would need a sitter here for my animals!!!!
-
I can recommened Yvette, she has spoken to me via email (as I've yet to get round to phoning her (sorry)) for the past couple of months. She has lots of experience.
I am no longer running my business of Smallholding Sitting Service, so have been on the look out for other sitters, to reccomend my clients too.
There is a horse sitter down near monmouthshire, who also has sub-contactors who sit livestock, though they are more geared up to horses (and a lot more expensive than I was or Yvette is, but i guess that goes with specialsing in equines). http://http://www.2-mindshorsesitting.co.uk/ (http://http://www.2-mindshorsesitting.co.uk/)
