Title: Is this the last fruit harvest of the year?
Post by: MAK on December 13, 2012, 05:18:29 pm
Today I got a phone call from my 83 year old neighbour asking me to pick the kiwi fruit that was too high for her. Bless her - she had a step ladder ready, boots on and her very long branch hook (that she had fashioned from a tree). She held the ladder as it sunk into the soft lawn and I stood on the top platform and showered the both of us in kiwi fruit. She is so healthy and happy that I get a boost whenever I am with her.
She gave me 2 bags of kiwis - so the pigs got a treat as I walked past them. Yet to taste them myself but despite the snow last week the fruit I trod on looked OK.
Anyone got a kiwi jam receipe?

Any more fruit to harvest?

Unbelievable.  Not much chance of that here.
