Simone has recently decided that she doesn't want hubby to milk her anymore. She paces around; kicks her back feet and paws her front feet until he gives up. He can stroke her, feed her, groom her and trim her feet without issue. I am not happy as i used to get the evening milking and a short layin in the morning! He's quite upset as he enjoyed milking and probably doesn't like the rejection either!
Has anyone else had this experience? She's a ba, funnily enough I remember reading on here about how temperamental they can be. I'm not one to label but.....

Seriously, there might be a reason for her not liking something he's doing or just the fact that it's morning? Ellie was getting antsy when I started the milking recently - it's improved since I started keeping the udder wipes in the house so they were warmer - stands to reason, I wouldn't want cold udder wipes applied to warm bits of me either :o
Once he's reviewed what he does, to see if there's anything she could take exception to, he might try taking her favourite treat, so she comes to associate him milking her with the treats.
Gotta be worth the try to save hubby feeling rejected and for you to retain your lie in :)

We had a milker on loan in 2010 when our own Where dry
She was great when I milked her but if a woman tried to milk her she used to threaten to but them off the stool
She never did accept being milked by a woman and it turned out she had always been the same with females but never any problems with men

My first goat hated bein gmilked by men. One friend who did it when we went away had to tether her then tie rope round her and under her tail and tie that to an static object to keep her on the milking bench. Females didn't even have to tether her.
Her daughter doesn't mind who does it so long as she gets her biscuits afterwards. ::)

Well I checked hubbys hands and suggested maybe they were too rough :eyelashes: He then said he has got a callousy rough bit on one hand and when he milked her with his softer hand she was fine! Guess what :santa: will be putting in his stocking...although being the blok ehe is maybe latex gloves would go down better than hand cream ;)
