Just registered with the forum.
Kate & myself (Mike) are rennovating and managing ! just about, a small farm in Carmarthenshire. Bought 5 years or so ago, and still not finished the house, but getting closer each year. Both working as well.
The land is pretty unimproved, a lot of it wet and over clay, and we are in the agri-environment scheme Tir Gofal. We are managing for conservation and a degree of self sufficiency.
Currently have Welsh Black sucklers, Jacob sheep, Oxford Sandy & Blacks, the usual clammer of ducks, chickens and turkeys, and various bits of antiquated machinery.
Hoping to share and benefit from others experiences, and keen to get a small area of arable underway.
Cheers
Mike :cow: :farmer:

Hi Mike, welcome. It is freezing cold here in Fife today. I'm sure all the hard work you both put in will be well worth it.
