Yet another really crap day :gloomy: . My 14 girls (chickens) will be getting re homed on a temporary (at least 3 months) basis. I only have them for another 8 may be 10 days. Will they remember me if I go and see them once a week? I was going to keep there meal worm treat just for when I go to see them, but don't know if that's not being selfish and mean not letting them have there meal worm treat every day, like they do at the moment.

A.because I can't see the keyboard as my eye are leaking again.

How sad but at least its not forever. They will probably remember you when they get back especially as you spoil them. I would miss my chucks if they went.

Bert, I am sure they will remember you. I took in 2 hens for a lady that could no longer keep them due to a relationship break up. She was really glad that they were coming to me because she had seen how my hens are kept but was really upset at having to let them go. She only came back very infrequently but her couple of hens knew her voice and would come running to her, weeks would go by between visits .... they didn't forget. They'll know you, no trouble. Let them have their usual daily treat, it won't make any difference.
