Title: The girls dirty holiday is booked!
Post by: colliewoman on November 21, 2012, 07:28:56 pm
 ;D ;D ;D ;D
Next week Doris, Enid, Millicent and Jill go off to spend 3-4 weeks with Mr Stilton :goat:
He is a strapping 100% Boer, most handsome and the girls will be spoiled rotten whilst away
They go for long enough to cycle twice, in the meantime we get to do all the chores that are easier without goats helping, paint the goat house etc.
We have the arrangement that in exchange for stud fees and livery, Mr Stilton's owner gets half the kids (usually the males but depending on what we get). Some think this is expensive, but it works well for us and personally I am very happy with the arrangement.
I shall miss the little boogers, but can't wait to spruce the place up again :excited:

Hope it all goes well and there is plenty of love in the air  :roflanim:
I know what you mean about getting jobs done without goats helping  ::) we usualy end up having to evict the horses and move the goats into the stables if we need anything done in the goat sheds

Last year there was concern as Mr Stilton appeared to only have eyes for Enid, so they stayed longer to give them another cycle.....
They all kidded within 4 days of each other. Seems the others were shy and didn't want to be watched :roflanim:

Can't say I blame them.   :roflanim:
