Gave my quail there morning handful of meal worms at 8am this morning ( they were there normal happy little selves) . At 8.45 they were all dead :'( :'( . A mink killed them. It was defiantly a mink because the little sod came back looking for the body's he left behind.

sorry to hear that mate. how did it get in? were your quails in a run or something?

How sad , can you trap the mink ? I lost one of my chickens yesterday. Fine in the evening. Looks as if she died in her sleep. I was so upset but at least my girl went peacefully. :bouquet:

Really feeling for you. I had a batch of ducklings killed be a ferret once, gutted!

Sorry
Know how you feel :bouquet:
Hope it gets what it deserves.
might be more than one, when we had a problem we trapped 3 in 2 days.

:'( Oh no that's awful!
If you can bear to do so, bait the traps with the quail. The little sods should come back looking as you know and they won't be suspicious of quail ATM

Sorry, Bert :bouquet:
I think it's difficult to keep them safe. :'(

Terrible news Bert and I really feel for you. Bloody animal rights brigade have a lot to answer for. Hope you catch it and make some warm gloves for Winter!
-
:bouquet: really awful. :fc: you catch the culprit soon.

My heart goes out to you
We had a mink around here 3 years ago and it was killing the birds like there was no tomorrow :'(
we then had a flood and either it moved on or hopefully it drowned as it never came back
-
It's a sickening sight I know. Put a live trap down, baited with a chicken wing or something then dispatch the mink as you see fit. Shooting is the most humane way.

thats rotten news! i really feel for you, i hate it if i lose of one my birds!
