Title: I just shot an MP!
Post by: Farmer on June 02, 2009, 11:19:51 am
I got the crafty little bu^^er as he flipped from place to place, looking for ways to take the food out of my babies mouths no doubt; but he slipped up, he was emerging from one of his island hideouts, which is surrounded by what appears to be a moat and was crouching down by the floating house he seems to have acquired (looks a bit like a duck house to me) so when he raised his head above the parapit I let him have it...bang...straight between those beady little eyes...another one bites the dust!

I was going to add you could come and shoot my damned foxes but seeing what happened last time I mentioned that I better not. Actually my Terminator came last night and surprise surprise the fox family had gone out for the night. An hour after he left Kenny spotted Mrs fox. The terminator is returning at the end of the week and this time stays till he gets the desired result. Now no fighting over this post please!!!!!

An idea just came to me on my 4th coffee break but this time a choc ice break...anyway...not too keen on the Jeremy Kyle show but for some reason it has me glued...same old stories most of the time but, why can't all the MP's be put weekly to do live lie detector tests and the public select the questions!!!! Better not have any rude ones otherwise another Revelation will emerge and we will have NO MP's.....yes, maybe they could put in a Big Brother Type house with lie detectors monitoring what they say, the most truthful,
the winner
;D

I think one of the next things to kick off will be MP's police records. They are fighting the freedom of information act, at the moment , to keep their records quiet.....this sounds familiar ?? but about a year ago the records did pop up somewhere. Over half were convicted criminals , with convictions for fraud , theft , embezzlement , deception , violence , wife beating ,etc etc ...the list went on and on . These were CRIMINAL convictions not civil , what are they doing running our country ? Oh and EU Commissioners are no better. The EU commissioner for justice is a convicted embezzler . He has an 8 month suspended sentence for embezzlement. Perhaps all these convictions were just more mistakes and they will be sorry for these too....I wonder if they have a different set of RULES for these crimes as well ?? OH and Jeremy Kyle, don't you just want to punch him right on the nose....or is it just me ?  ::)

cheers

No, not just you but I don't want to punch him, he gets on my nerves BUT I watch him, god knows why, although as I said in a post ages ago, I watched a family I used to work with once on the Trica show, I was soo shocked I cut off too much hair as I had the TV on my dressing table and was trimming my sidey bits of hair (on my head) with a disposible razor, just to get them feathery, when I recognised thier story and voices I looked up and slipped, I looked like I had a bauld patch at the side and as I was getting ready to go out, I collected all the bits and superglued them to the bare patch!!!!!

Scary stuff if true Russ. These people have to be a "cross section of society" so you could argue that people that have "lived" are best suited to make life changing decisions, I dunno. The sad thing is these same guys make the laws that govern the land and say that Police Officers have to be squeaky clean or they don't have a job. They allow the police the odd speeding ticket etc but wife beating etc. I am sure they would be out the force, double standards again?

the web site with the MP's convictions has been pulled...gone ... I wonder why ? But as for the police having to be  squeaky clean  ??
http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2009/mar/11/police-officers-criminal-records
Speeding tickets ...mmmm A motorway traffic police officer with speeding convictions ...mmmmm lol . I think anyone in a  public job ie MP , police officer etc ..has to be completely clear of any criminal convictions, would you take your kids to school if you knew that teacher had a conviction for paedophilia ? even if it was 30 years ago ....? would you put your money into a bank if you knew the bank manager and the people at the window had convictions for theft or fraud or embezzlement ?  There are plenty of good honest people out there and there will always be enough to fill the jobs of those crooks and criminals that lie and cheat their way into jobs of civic importance . If they are crooks , kick them out ...full stop . That is my view anyway , no halfway measures . Otherwise where do you draw the line ?

cheers

Russ

I honestly don't mind if my MP has PREVIOUS criminal convictions - they have been through the justice system and should have done their time/paid their fine. It would be a testiment to our penal system if they could then come out and give a positive contribution to the community.

I think that our MP's should reflect our community, some of us have made mistakes and had a brush with the law, some of us have been bad buggers in our youth and have now matured a bit. It's good to see things from a wide range of viewpoints when making laws.

HOWEVER, i do believe that if you want to run for a public position - then you must agree to let everyone know all about your background, convictions, education, your financial interests (directorships, chairmanships, large shareholdings - current or past)

Once you are in office, you must not only obey the laws of the land, but you must set an example, it's not enough to follow the letter of the law, but the spirit of the law.

Yup, might be a bit hypocritical, but i expect MP's to behave squeaky clean once they are in there. I will admit to bending some rules and laws myself from time to time, but i'm not the one representing hundreds of thousands of people in the community, i'm not shaping laws and i'm not having an input into the decisions that shape the future of the country.

They are well paid to stop them being sidelined and wandering from the right path.

A police officer drove into my neighbours front garden. The car dismantled her fence, a long established row of trees and various other things. months later when enquiring about some compensation to replace the trees, she recieved a letter from the police telling her that they would not be taking any further action against her!!

My niece used to be in the Police Force the stories she used to tell would make your hair turn blue!!! Many years ago a relative was Chief Superindentant and he was the most crooked man in 2 legs the family used to say.

I don't know if it's true but I was told recently that there is a police officer working at a local police school who had been dealing!!  Not charged, not convicted, just demoted.

My brother is a policeman - and a nicer two faced, self deluding, masogonistic bigot you couldn't hope to meet.  Yes he's a great guy and a wonderful enditement of the Southall police force.
