I managed to arrange a deal with a cafe and can pick up lots of coffee grinds each weak. I was planning to arrange it around and close to my vulnerable plants to keep the slugs away . Checking the forum out on earlier info, some folks mention the acidity. What are your experiences and how do you handle it? Would you mix the coffee with lime to neutralise the ph? :&>

I use it "neat" around my hostas and it seems to do the job (either that or I don't actually have any slugs - lol) I think that pouring boiling water on the roast coffee actually takes out all the acidity as far as I am aware so you should be OK.
