Good morning everyone! (Or afternoon/evening if you are reading this later)
I am in my final year at Plymouth University and have my dissertation to do; the research is a large part of it and I need to gather a lot of it. 500 questionnaires minimum! The dissertation will be on the BBC and people's perceptions.
Once I am at the research gathering stage ( a month or so away at the moment), would you be willing to participate by answering a questionnaire? I'm afraid the most incentive I can give is a mention of thanks in the final copy and lots of love!

Shnoowie, I will be happy to complete a questionaire when the time comes.

I'll play ;D
-
Will do, no problem - as you asked so nicely
-
Conditional yes. If we're not under a foot of snow, and it's before we start lambing, I'm in :D
-
I'll play too  I love questionnaires :excited:
-
 Yep
-
 I will too :-)

Count me in! :)

Yes, happy to fill one in for you

yup, any chance to let them know how biased they are will be gladly taken ;)
-

-
I'll play too  I love questionnaires :excited:
So do I! :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :innocent:
-
No !
Just joking. Don't forget to design your questionnaire with analysis of your key outcomes in mind - grandma and sucking eggs - but the analysis will be your main challenge - especially if you let us lot write free text :innocent: .
-
I'll do it  .
-
I'm happy to do it but should mention that we don't have a TV. I watch Casualty on iplayer though and we have the radio on all day, BBC programmes.
-
i think if you link the questionnaire to this site you should get 500 responses theres that many opinions on here about any subject
:excited: :excited: :excited:
-
I would - but haven't watched TV for over 5 years now... ??? Listen to the radio though...
-
I'll do it, but not much opinion on tv programs.
Oh and just to add:- if you want an age range, my ten year old son will happily do one, he is soooo opinionated about everything at the moment ( especially if he can argue a point against my opinion! )
-
Thank you SO much everyone!
MAK, teach me to suck eggs any day! I spent a lecture looking at forming questionnaires to aid analysis and it looks like it will be great fun! ::)

Schnoowie - I believe there is a web site that allows you to design a questionnaire and hang it on their web site ( no charge) - you direct potential responders onto the site to complete it. It yields basic stats for you and you can export the data to excel or a stats package.PM me if you want more details. Martin

Thanks, Martin. The university have 'trained' us in Qualtrics, which may be the one you're talking about. It has its own analysis things, though I still get the pleasure of using SPSS.
-
Ah - well prepared then - just SPSS to play with :excited:
Good luck.

A bit of advice (which you probably won't need, either, but still...) Let someone try out your questionnaire, someone who doesn't know yet what you are trying to achieve. That way you find out where something isn't as clear as it seems to you (or anybody else in the know). It's just that I've seen too many questionnaires (and info leaflets etc), written by "experts", that were so badly designed as to be quite meaningless in the end...

Thanks, Ina - a good point! I'm hoping to pilot the questionnaire at the beginning of December so it should be tried and tested by the time it gets here - if its not right then I'll deserve a kick in the shins!
