Title: Timber Lodge Available From Stock
Post by: ShaunP on October 31, 2012, 11:33:10 am
Due to a problem with crane access we have available from stock a 2 bedroom timber lodge mobile home. It is a handed 50m2 foot print as per the Instant range on the website.

It is currently in Cornwall but we can transport and erect (subject to crane access!!!!) anywhere in the UK.

Price would depend on final location but as a guide the Unit normally sells at £35 000.

I seem to have been let down by one business, they offered a 60' x 20' log home, delivered, erected and such for £48,750.00 However,he advised there is no way that I need planning permission. He also advertises them on the fleabay, seller milliemoo I think it is.

I think I do,he has not come back to me yet as was coming over to take some plans from me,never heard anything since! :( :-\

Planning depends on use and location. Generally, if you are not in a conservation area, you have a dwelling and you place a "mobile home/caravan" within the residential curtlage of the building and use it as an annexe to the main house then you do not require permission.

If you what to have a generally chat about the planning just give me a call.

We can also do half round log finish and any size of layout you wish.

And that is why I thought I do need planning, the log home is to live in,the site is the 1.1/3 acre site behind my house,if it were to go ahead, then this house would be rented out and nothing to do with the smallholding, shall contact you :)

We have now spoken, so I am posting this so people can see what has been said. In this situation you are creating a seperate dwelling and that would require planning consent. This is given as an opinion but in these circumstances I would not try to sell you a building that does not have a consent or the result would be a very very unhappy client!!
