They go to bigger pubs for there agm but in the past came here for curry clubs. We let them use our laptop and there made up. They check the weather ???? didn't think it mattered under ground

The rain falls above ground, and after a while appears underground. There's a few popular pots where you can be cut off for quite a long time while waiting for the water to subside. Or maybe drowned.
When I was a caver a lot of my friends were mountaineers who didn't like heights - what you can't see you can't be scared of was the opinion. I saw it as mountaineering with a real extra scary edge.

Just this - there are a lot of potholes you can't do round here if it's raining hard.

Never been potholing but I used to love going down in old mines. Strange thing is, I am now claustrophobic. ???

Wet caves are utterly beautiful when you get the stalactites, stalagmites and limestone curtains. And once you'vet got wet and muddy then it gets easier. Sumps (where you get totally immersed to get through a submerged passage) and squeezes (tight bits) are more of an acquired taste. Being 6'3 I was less happy with the squeezes.
