Title: Time for the real work to begin.
Post by: YoungRasher on October 14, 2012, 09:22:08 pm
Hi All.
I've been a member for a few months and have spent time reading all the posts and learning as much as I could from the topics and great advice thats already on the site. We've recently sold our home and moved into rented accommodation and bought 24 acres of land near Matlock Derbyshire. Its made up of 2 fields, 1 has a 2 acre block of woodland and the other has a stream running the full length of one boundary. Although the sale has only just gone through, The farmer we got it off was good enough to let us bale it at the beginning of September and we were lucky enough that family and friends helped out and we got 215 bales of haylage.
At the minute we're getting it all stock proof and as soon as thats sorted we'll be buying some ewe lambs to start us off.
I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions in the near future.
