Hi
my neighbour (who doesn't have a computer) has a cashmere x horned female goat who lost her companion a few months ago and is looking for a new friend she is medium sized, estimated at about 6 years old my neighbour would like advice re finding a suitable new friend - does it also have to have horns and does it also have to be a similar size? does it have to be another female or is a castrated male ok?
his concern is re whether or not the current goat would accept a companion readily or would there be some fighting (in which case he is concerned about damage to either goat)
it's for a pet home, the goat/s have a shed and a large concrete base pen plus a long grassy garden area to mooch about it
any advice welcome, thanks! :goat:

Ideally it would be a similar size and be horned. A wether would be fine.
If you're quick, there may be people about who still have wethers (sheep or goats) who are destined for the freezer but who haven't been sent off yet, and who would like the idea of them being a companions rather than being eaten.
Whereabouts are you?

Depending where you are located i may have the ideal companion. I have an 18 month old castrated saanen X. Nice gentle chap.

Hi again Fowlman
just noticed you are in Wiltshire which, unfortunately, is a long long way away ....
is it worth putting an ad in marketplace?
