I have been making my own preserves,jams and such for many years,I have always used the same pan,however,mine is never really quite large enough to make a super large batch.So,I have started looking,I never thought to ask anyone which they prefer,which do you get better results with?

aluminium has been associated with alzheimers. worth a thought.

My Mam bought me a lovely stainless steel one form Lakeland for my 40th - Love it. I use my old aluminium one for dying stuff instead (because of links with Alzeimers as above) now and would never use Alu pans out of choice.

Stainless :thumbsup: The only down side is that it is not as shallow and wide as my old aluminium one, but as I couldn't lift that weight to pour any more it doesn't matter. :yum:
