Title: Worker Wanted
Post by: tizaala on October 11, 2012, 09:25:45 am
I'm in need of a person to help us with our winter preparation, after having a 4 month lay off with my shattered ankle we are very behind and struggling to catch up. Probably about two or three days work total .
We can offer a bed and all meals plus some cash in exchange for some musclepower.
Mid Wales , Hereford /Shropshire Powys border.  Doug 01547 550670 .

Try the Help Exchange - HelpX.  They will probably have someone available promptly, or even two people as they often travel together.  Then once they've done the work they can stay on for a couple of days to enjoy your hospitality, without money needing to change hands.   It didn't work for us, I think because we had them for a whole month at a time, with no break in between.  But for just a few days or a week it would be ideal.  I'll see if I can find the actual URL

Here we are:  www.helpx.net (http://www.helpx.net)   It's free to do, just register as a host, post your profile and what you want doing then sit back and wait.

I'll even help bath you,
 :innocent:

But this job will call for some serious muscle power upwards of 150 barrows of heavy stuff to be moved through deep mud , believe me , you will need several baths afterwards ....and probably an osteopath.

Thanks Fleecewify , I'll have a look at that website , probably find a strapping gert wench or two , they might be in need of a bath......

But alas, we can't both be away at the same time due to the animals ;)
I really am very handy with a barrow though and am very good at mud wrestling :-J

Colliewoman- if you think you want to struggle with the wheelbarrow, we would be more then grateful but we do not want you to get hurt. I just cannot do it, well i can but only about 2-3 forkfulls of muck in the barrow and then it takes me forever to push and pull the barrow through the mud, all this rain did not help.
Usually I fill the barrows and Doug empties them but he just cannot do it, his foot looks like a balloon even without pushing barrows.

;D Well I can always give it a go eh? I'm sure OH would be glad to see the back of me for a few days, and someone elses mud would make a change from mine :roflanim:

You don't need to pay either, feed me and let me have a bath or 2 and that'll practically be a holiday as far as I am concerned  :excited: :excited:
