Title: Laurel Trees
Post by: The Woodsiders on October 08, 2012, 03:34:08 pm
Good afternoon, I wonder if anyone can tell me if Laurel Leaves/branch chippings are ok to put in the chicken run, will they poison the birds? Any thoughts wouldbe appreciated.

if they eat them theyre deadly, my chooks free ranged in laurel woods and were fine, but chippings are different i would burn them, not much good for anything.

As DITW. My father has laurels growing in his garden where his birds free range and they don't seem to cause a problem but I wouldn't use them in runs where birds are confined ...... just in case.
