Title: Trying a different breed of chickens
Post by: MAK on October 03, 2012, 08:14:56 am
We were struck by the many different types of chickens for sale at a large market the other day. We wanted some good layers and chose some Limousine birds.

Has anyone any experience of these?

The attached link list breeds in alphabetical order and shows a picture of the Limousine.

Never heard of them before Martin - but they look very attractive & from the info on that site, seems they could be a good smallholder chuck - how easy is it to get hold of unrelated stock/eggs in the UK?  :chook:

No idea -we live in France. There is a large choice of chickens ( and all other birds) at the monthly market - including British breeds.
