We are moving this Saturday and have 2 OSB gilts that are free to a good home.
These need to go urgently
-
know you're busy moving but vague postcode area, age of gilts, pedigree or not, contact number................
Good luck with move.
mandy :pig:
-
They are 2 year old, no pedigree and in Taunton contact 07773807459 best to send text before ringing as I am at work
-
can't help at mo but could in a month's time, any good to you?
What set up are they used to hun?
-
unfortunately not we can't take them with us and I have ran out of money to send them off to slaughter by the end of the week.
-
Oh heck!
What set up do they have? Do they respect lekky fence? Are you able to help transport?
Sorry for the questions but i know I will be asked when I go chat up a friend who owes me one
-
They have always had a solid fence, with leccy around the top but I don't think they have ever touched it. They have been in the stables/barn most of the summer as we have flooded a lot.
We don't have a trailer to transport them
-
Are you able to answer the phone at the moment hun?
If so give me 10 mins and I'll ring. I will sort something I'm sure hang, in there.
-
can't answer just now still at work, I am waiting for another reply as well from someone else. I will be available after 7pm tonight as I have to drive home first
-
Ok hun, I'll ring you then. My landlord (bless him) has offered his old polytunnel that is completely enclosed with heavy gauge 2" square weld mesh. It used to be an aviary for parrots. It is huge, bigger than my home! lol! No plastic on it though so we will build them a shelter.
Anyhoo, that is what we can offer, but we can also say we will look after them for you for a while if you think you might like them back when you have settled? If not they can stay here :pig: :pig:
-
We are renting the land and share it with the landlord and TBH it is to wet for pigs. I love them as they are such cheeky girls but it just wouldn't be practical or fair on them.
-
Ok hun, Landlord is here now so we will chat and I'll ring you later on
-
If colliewoman doesn't have them, I'm very interested!
I am able to pick them up on Saturday as am going up there to send another to slaughter. Really really interested as needing another few to replace some. Are they okay for breeding? Could you send/ put up some pictures?
Cheers
-
I can't offer them a home but I can offer the lend of my trailer if anyone's stuck.

Are you trying to tell everyone that you have adopted Rashers and Chops Colliewomen?
-
Great news for Colliewoman, and I am sure its a relief for Ellisr to know she has rehomed her pigs before moving house.

What about you guys ? Things looking up yet ? :-* :-*

We have a very small annex to move to but plenty of space for the animals.
It will do for now but I don't think it will be a place I can stay at for long. I am having to sell most of my furniture and thisngs I have collected over the years
-
Oh no :( :( :(
I have space here, if there's anything you can't bear to part with and we can figure out a way to get it here.
Glad you have somewhere though
-
Really sorry you're having such a rotten time :( but glad you've managed to find a good home for the pigglies. I hope things turn around for you soon. :fc:
-
That is a lovely offer but we have now run out of money to do anymore. just happened to be the same month as car MOT and taxes etc the bank balance should be better next month
-
OH is missing his girls already :'( :pig: :pig: :'(
Aw bless him, you can tell him they have just had their supper of apples and milk, and had buried themselves so deep in their straw so snugly that I had to poke them to wake them up to eat!
They have been doing piggy races all afternoon and keep bringing us mouthfuls of straw :pig:  :pig:
Thank you so much for letting us take on the girlies, I can see why it is so hard for you cos they are adorable
-
So very glad that you found them a great home! I hope we can get such great help when we move. Hoping we will stil have enough space for the animals but the logistics of moving them is going to be hard to sort out. Best of luck with everything xxx
