Title: Taxes and how much more can we stand.
Post by: Castle Farm on September 30, 2012, 02:11:25 pm
Everytime you turn on the news there is someone banging on about our debt .I think the fastest way of saving money is not to waste it.

If the powers that be stopped throwing money around like a lottery winner and cancelled overseas aid and the like our childrens, childrens children wouldn't have to pay our problems back.

We ain't seen the half of it yet, just wait till the euro hits the fan and see how tough it will get.

it isn't tax that particularly worries me as a low income earner but what does is this new pensions mularky, i already have several company pensions mothballed as i've moved jobs several times and now it looks like i'm going to have to have another bloody one! Hopefully theres a get out loophole
pensions aren't worth a crock of poo and i put money away in an isa instead at least i know what its doing and thats its  :fc:  relatively safe, i dread to think how much money is trapped in the various pension schemes and god when you try to amalgamate them into one pot the charges are horrendous and you lose so much money doing it.
The pensions situation is a joke in this country. grr.

I pulled one out last year and I lost nearly £5000 in tax after already paying tax when I earned it.

Things are going to get worse I'm afraid. I re-invested it in sheep at least they give you a better return on your money.

Lamb prices have gone down a bit over the last few weeks, but yearling ewe sales are very good.

Listening to the labour conference on TV last night deems the question, does that bunch think everyone in the UK suffers from memory loss. :eyelashes:

It's a bloody mess and really hard to see how it gets fixed.  At least we aren't in the Euro so we have some flexibility.  Unfortunately we have as PM and Chancellor people who don't know what it is not to have what you want when you want it.

Damn, where's that trust fund gone?
