Title: What to do with spent compost
Post by: suziequeue on September 23, 2012, 04:27:48 pm
I have had a relatively successful cucumber harvest this year (but still alot of points to take forward for next year  ;D ) but they are finished now.

I grew them in bro-bags and they didn't suffer from any diseases - just got a bit mouldy at the end.

Any suggestions as to what I do with the gro-bag contents now? I understood that it wasn't good to put them on the compost heap - but I  may be mistaken.

I always add mine to the manure/compost heap.

I would use it to top up my raised beds - just don't grow cucumbers in them again next year.
