Title: Rough day
Post by: funkyfish on September 21, 2012, 09:48:53 pm
Sorry but need a moan!

11 hour day at work today - should have been 9, but a collegue is slacking off so I've had to do my work and hers.. And re do what little she has done!

Put to sleep my In-laws dog due to bone cancer.

New downstairs neighbours moved in tonight and have thrown out our stand we put our recycling stuff on- we have no front garden (just a small path way) and house goes straight on to the road with no pavement. So we used an old metal fish tank stand to stack both our and downstairs recyling boxes on as not enough room for them to be side by side.

Its nearly 10pm and I have to now drive 25 miles to evening check the animals... Oh and I'm oncall all weekend so no chance of any rest or sleep. Fantastic!

I have just got in from feeding the menagerie, and was feeling sorry for myself, as I am wet, cold and covered in mud, but then I read your post, and realised you have had a lot worse day than me.

If it releases that pressure - moan away  :)
sorry to hear about dog - always difficult
maybe talk nicely to the newbies? don't suppose they realised - everythings new and lots to learn about new places. ask them to replace the stand?
Hope you feel better in the morning
Good luck

Hope you have a good day and weekend free of "call outs". life can be pretty challenging at times and I sympathise with the work difficulties.Ater a few personnal difficulties I gave up working and sold everything I had ( it will surprise you how much you are worth) and bought a fermette in France. Cheap as chips! Infact a Belgian has just bought a small ancient house in the village down the road from us for £4k ( may cost him lots to do up) but he seems happy enough. Now when I read or talk to people who have bad days it all comes flooding back to me and I just can not imagine returning to the stress and pressures of work - I found dealing with other work dumkopfs the most challenging. Hope it gets better for you and one day you have the space and lifestyle you may like.

Look on the bright side, you could make lots of money from the experience by writing a country and western song about it , other peoples missery sells well stateside.  :innocent:

I do sympathise, but... You call that a bad day!!!

Sorry, just remembering a few days during lambing with 3 hours sleep etc.

Hope you don't get called out over the weekend.

It was a bad day but not the worst! Some just seem to get you down more than others!

I wish I was any good at song writing!maybe I would have some more £! Lol

Hav a lot goin on at the moment, and finding a large lump on becky's leg, taking her to work and putting her to sleep was just the last straw!

There is nothing like having  beasts though. Checking them all by torch whilst listening to the owls and seeing a deer on the way home was a great de stresser!
