OV - don't "give them away" :o
You've got some quality stock there - can you not bring them on yourself?

Can't afford to I am afraid. Our pig food has gone up £44/tonne in the last year, straw has gone up too and people are not buying enough pork at my farmers markets and stalls.  :gloomy:

I have to downsize. I have had to send off four of my sows in order to cut down the herd. I'm selling the weaners at livestock market prices in the hope that someone will free range them rather than me having to go to Hereford market.

Sorry to hear your predictmont OV, they sound lovely pigs. I hope you find homes for them. Have you tried advertising in local ag merchants and also gumtree

Have tried the breed sites etc Rispain. Once this 'glut' is over I'll be down to 3 sows and a more managable amount.  :fc: No more farmer's markets though

How terrible that you have to sell them so cheap. Prices up here are still around the £50 for a weaner. Getting 2 more in the Spring.
