What to do with your old guitar.
My first guitar I actually found in my grandfathers chicken shed in 1979 (I was 15), when I lived in the USA. Since then it has been in my fathers shed for the last 30 years.
2 years ago he brought it back to me and he had adapted it, as a bird box. 1st year there was no
signs of use, but this year we had sparrows nesting. :excited:
I only found out when I used the guitar to site in my air rifle.....Oops!
OH and I heard a cheap ...as it was, I didn't hurt anything (lousy shot) :relief:
So now my pre 1954 Norma guitar is a sparrow santuary.

What a brilliant idea and a lovely tale. May go in the loft to find my old guitar now. :excited:

It's a great idea :D

 Love it. I'm as great believer in recycling and with a little emagination, it's amazing what you can make. This home for musical sparrows is a great example.

 I thought you had bought a guitar to serenade us with at the Festival ::)

The guitar, though old never produced a quality sound. I do remember putting new strings on it 15 years ago
in the hope that I could use it again. Not to be. In its time it was just a cheap beginners guitar probably the
first to be mass produced, l am sure it could tell a few stories pre my ownership, Louisiana had some good
sounds in the 50's. The fret board is at the base of the tree, it fell off 4 months ago. Anyone wanting it as a
restoration project is welcome to it...I have lots of boxes for the wee sparrows. The spurs dont come with it
though....they were my grandfathers.

could you pack it with a telescope? now i know ive got a job.... :D

Sorry someone just beat you to it... :roflanim: :roflanim:
Just kidding DITW's it's yours.. I'll PM you tomorrow.
As a musician I feel if someone can make use / restore, then good.
