We had to say bye to our 15 year old pointer today :( She was bred by OH and was the only one in the litter. She never grew to much bigger than a spaniel but she was a cracking working dog. Couldn't have asked for a better game finder. I would work her on areas with little grouse as she had sooo much drive. She lived for finding grouse.

So sorry :bouquet: . Its so hard to lose a pet when they have been part of your daily life for so long. Remember and talk about the good times you had with her, it'll help with the grieving process. Take care.

It sounds like the perfect partnership for 15 years. That's a good old age for the girl. She will be a miss. :bouquet:

She was very beautiful and clearly very special too. :bouquet: :dog: RIP Lucky :-(

Thanks all. End of an era for us as she was our last pointer. We buried her up on the moor, where we scattered her mother's ashes where she can hear the grouse forever.

I am sorry I missed this. My heart goes out to you. Having just been summarily ejected from my bed by two pointers (and yes they work as well) they are such special dogs.
