Title: The deed is being done tonight - we were too late she has died
Post by: Bionic on September 03, 2012, 05:54:08 pm
Doris, my hen who had the prolapse in May, is unwell. She has a bit of a dirty bottom but its more than that. She is hiding under a bush and hardly moving.
As she has never laid an egg I have decided to put her out of her misery rather than try to treat her.
Question, bearing in mind I have no idea what is wrong with her should I eat her or leave her for Mr Fox?
thanks
Sally
We are definitely not eating her. RIP Doris. Even though she never laid she was my favourite

Eat her !
If you leave it for Mr Fox then he will be back at the same time tomorrow night for more.

MAK, Its bin day tomorrow so we have sneaked her in the bin.  I realised the same about Mr Fox. I don't want him to get the taste.
