Out in Huntly today promoting rare breeds...great fun.
OH gave gave some of our castmilk moorit fleece to Vctoria Metson who is a spinner.
she produced our first ever sample of 'our own lambies' wool.
This is my first experience of watching wool being spun, and I was entrigued by the
whole process, I tried spinning it a bit myself...but builders hands lack the touch...and patience.
So my hat goes off to all you spinners out there, your doing a great and underated
service to sheepies. :trophy:
Keep up the good work, :knit: need you!

Thankyou Bangbang from a novice spinner

That sounds like a good day out :yippee: I love showing people how to spin and how simple the process is. I truly think that many more people will start to spin and knit again in the not too distant future - great news for sheep :sheep: :sheep: :sheep:

Keep at it Bangbang, your hands would soon be as soft as a baby's bum ;) :sheep: :sheep:

OH might appreciate it! ;D :innocent:

That's great to hear, and yes of course you should persevere - no reason you couldn't get the hang of it.
However, I wish you'd shot a video. I am not yet anything like good enough to spin my own CM fleeces! (Way too short for my current skill level.) :knit: ??? :knit:

We have her number Sally so we'll speak to her and see what we can do.
We did give her 2 CM fleeces, cos we could, so what goes around comes around
hopefully...
If she lets us video her spinning the CM fleece we'll post it ASAP!
