Title: Local ebay
Post by: escapedtothecountry on August 31, 2012, 06:20:57 pm
I should probably start this post by saying alternative auction sites are available, however have any of you used the local ebay site here:- http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/local-ebay-deals/ (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/local-ebay-deals/) where you can find local things being sold on ebay which are collection only, and therefore often don't have bids on them.

So far we have kitted out or re-decorated living room with old fashioned Chesterfield wing back chairs for a song, but the fun started with the bits and bobs I've picked up for the garden.

So far that has included 2-3 tonnes of old stone slabs so I can do a patio; a second hand greenhouse so I can finally grow some tomatoes; and finally today I bought 68 of those glass bricks people used to have in their bathrooms to make a kind of glass wall, to use outside as the front wall of a cold frame! Think the wife wishes I'd never found the site, but in all seriousness you can find some bargains every now and again.

Its these http://www.wickes.co.uk/glass-block-clear-190-x-190mm-pk10/invt/206975/?source=123_74 (http://www.wickes.co.uk/glass-block-clear-190-x-190mm-pk10/invt/206975/?source=123_74) And having got them second hand I didn't pay list price. Probably should have said blocks not bricks.
