Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this forum - this is my first post but have been really impressed with all the help and great advice given by so many lovely people. I have just purchased 4 Ryeland Shearlings from The Show and Sale in Ludlow as the start of my flock. Already have a 450 breeding Mules but new to Ryelands. I'm trying to locate a Registered White Ram for tupping in October either to buy or hire. Does anyone have anything suitable?
Many thanks

Have you tried looking on The Ryeland Flock Book Society website as there is a list of breeders which you could contact, that are local to you with regard to a tup.
Hopefully someone will have something either to buy or hire.

Hello and welcome!
I am just in process of purchasing a reg white Ryeland ram and am in Somerset.....Once I have him would you like to borrow him for a bit? I will be putting my rams in on 31st Oct

Thanks Val for the super fast response, could I come and look at him when you get him? I was hoping to Lamb my Ryelands before the main flock so was aiming to tup from 1st Oct to lamb late Feb. Does this fit with you?
Kaz, thanks for your advice I've tried to phone someone in Castle Cary who has a Reg Ram i found through the FBS but I think they must have changed their number.
Many thanks

Yes that would fit ok! Got to go and get him yet! Is apparently a small chapie but that suits me as I like small and compact. Email me and we can sort something out :)

Hi, i'm on the border of Devon/Cornwall (in Launceston) and have a choice of 2 x white fully registered Ryeland Rams for sale as i've had them the past 2 years and have just purchased a new ram to use this year. If you want photos/information then please ask. Thanks
