My lovely garden coming on..my partner carl fk making room for raised beds and a it becoming veggie garden..

Yep , oh once you have the plot all dug it is easier , and then when you have the manure put on and dug in . And then once you have the weeding done lol.
The clearing is hard work , but well worth it  .

good stuff, now you just need to dig in 5ton of manure!! enjoy, veg growing is very satisfying, despite the weather. remember to keep a diary for the first few years to get to know which varieties are good 'doers' for your area.

Have dug chicken poo in two beds but have to get some more for the others then let the planting begin :farmer: :thumbsup:

chicken poo is a great fertiliser, but high in nitrogen. if you can get some horse manure in straw rather than sawdust it is really good for holding water and making a lighter loam, its really worth doing first as you start your beds, it helps with digging again next winter.

If not and you have a trailer, head over to Telford.  I have more goat manure than I know what to do with.
