Won't be digging the garden today then :raining:

Don't blame you ;D

Started off ok today .....hmmm......went downhill rapidly. Been torrential rain all morning, and no sign of stopping. Goats and pigs all inside, and only a few brave hens out in it. So frustrating when most of the work I want to do is outside!!! Cannot even push the barrow down the field even if it stops raining - its so wet and muddy everywhere
-
Yep same here , too wet to use the barrow most of the time , it just sinks and is impossible to move . So everything is mainly done using buckets .
The usual process is carry 2 buckets of manure 70 yds down a steep , wet hill , to the veg plot . Then carry 2 buckets of stones back up the hill !
Absolute murder . Talk about hard labour !

You are like me, Russ. Try to utilise the return journey by bringing something back. I usually empty the muck barrow, then balance buckets of feed, or grass for the pigs on the barrow for the return uphill journey -it is hard work ......do sometimes wonder why I am getting soaked, tired, achy .....when I could be inside watching the rain like normal people.
-
Yes , i wonder why ? , when i am soaked to the skin and have another 3 hours out in the monsoons !
Usually have a break for a while in summer , but i have got soaked more times this summer than i did last winter !
Got new wellies now , so don't keep slipping on my arse going downhill .
