just have to show off our new mule. shes a yearling and a huge character. much smarter and quicker than a pony so gona teach us all a few things i think. Mother was a dartmoor pony, father was the donkey next door. ::) ::) ::)
shes a wee diva.

we plan to break her to harness but at the moment, having all 4 feet on the ground is a bonus :o :o :o and shes not affa keen on wee pigs ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
she comes galloping straight up to the fence for a treat, i think its her party trick, as shes done it loads of times.
today is her first day here and she has started training me already. shes so smart - id love to teach her tricks using the clicker etc. anyone got beyond the basics with party tricks and ponys?? iv only done left/right and hi-5's before.

actually we re-named her - she just has to be a muffin doesnt she? though she is being called bigears (shame) and punk (cos she is one!) too lol

When my last horse arrived he stood in the same spot for two days solid staring across the field towards the pigs, now he reaches over into there run, not bothered at all.

wev only had major hissy fits with one pony ref pigs, after 2 years of being silly, he has literally shared there 15 acre park with them for 6 months and is now "pig-proof" tho he still isnt impressed. :D :D
i thought we were going to the next village at speed today when the piglets decided it was dinnertime whilst i was leading her. i do resemble the pied piper when the pigs see me - they must all think " its her with the bucket, everyone run, last one there is a sausage!" the wee mule nearly had heart failure...lol

I've done quite a bit of clicker training - it was for a horse that had suffered a pelvis injury and wouldn't let her back feet be picked up. We got her so that she would stand to have her feet trimmed in the end ;D

Our horse used to gallop out to have kisses with the pigs every morning, felt sad for her when they went :innocent:

iv done clicker training with dogs and ponies, so know the principles. my highland mare would loose school and would walk, trot, canter, go back , turn left, right and give hi 5, all on voice and apple slices and clicker.
shes been a broodmare for 5 yrs and hasnt forgotten it. ;D my gsd would lie down dead if u pointed ur fingers like a gun and say bang...yes really ::) ::) ha
id like to do "tricks" with the mule tho, ie bow, lie down etc and other things i dont have the imagination for? anyone suggest a good book or website to give me ideas?? thanks :D :D :wave: :wave:

Love muffin :love: , she looks such a character looking through the camera lens on the first photo.
I remember seeing a pony on tv lying on a bed and pulling a blanket over itself to get a treat ;D
