Title: Old Paint

Please - if you are ever asked to do a painting job and quote for it as I did,
whatever you do, dont ever use old paint they may provide.

I was given some b&q emulsion and an couple of old tins of gloss.
Thinking I'll save a little bit - I used it - big mistake - 3 coats required of
the b&q watery stuff required and the old gloss paint I've had to remove and redo. with NEW
(and not 'lets remove the skin off the top before we use it stuff' ), paint.

Quality pays when it comes to paint - slightly out of pocket,  BB

So any more painting jobs come my way will be on 'estimate' only!  :)

We always get the good stuff. So worth its money. Old paint wrinkles like crackle glaze when it dries. One coat means two coats though even with the good stuff. I hate painting woodwork so even though we have an old house we have pvc windows and the woodwork I have to do is done well and with the good stuff so I dont have to do it that often.
