Title: Large female duck sought
Post by: GillB on August 25, 2012, 04:40:20 pm
Hi
Im looking for one or maybe two large ducks to go with my silver appleyard/saxony Drake who is on his own due to a fox attack a few months ago.
Actually he's joined in with the hens so doesnt appear too lonely but we though he'd like to have a mate again

Thanks
Gill

We're in Powys - our nearest town is Oswestry in Shropshire :)

According to the Domestic Waterfowl Club website, there is a big breeder of all different types of waterfowl (including lots of large ducks) in Oswestry:

Hicks Waterfowl http://www.waterfowlworld.co.uk/ (http://www.waterfowlworld.co.uk/)

No personal experience because we're in Kent but I've been searching for Appleyard breeders and they looked great - just a loooonnnnggg way from here!
