In June, I bought six ducklings, 2 Khaki Campbells, 2 Cayugas, 1 White Indian Runner Duck and 1 Trout Runner Duck. All were promised to me as female. This was all fine until about a month ago, the trout runner duck had not 'stretched' yet... As she just looked like a normal duck. She still hasn't and it is pretty clear that she is not a Trout Runner Duck. Here is a pic, could anybody tell me what she is?? ???

Also, when will they come into lay? And when will my drake become active? Thanks :&>

At a guess, she's a Mallard x Campbell. Most ducks start laying by 6-months of age - lovely eggs, brilliant for making cakes :yum:

i think the drake will become active so to speak around 4-5 months.
she could be anyform of a cross but i would suggest that somewhere in the mix is campbell

Though runner drakes are'nt as upright as the ducks(probably as they are always going for your feet!)
