OK, just a quick HI as we are new to being registered on this web site. Our present position on the whole smallholding or croft thing is still at early stages but moving forward. We were at a TAS weekend day course last weekend and have talked about nothing else on what to do to get the next part of the project in place. Enough said for now ..

Good to se you LtCdData.
Smallholding is addictive and TREMENDOUSLY creative.
Despite all the trials and tribulations I think my health is better as a result of the joy and creative opportunity it brings.

Glad you found it here, and hope you enjoyed the course (Rosemary is just sending out notes and feedback forms links now).

Thanks for your warm welcome folks... Just to give you a heads up on where we are at present on "the project" as it were... We live in a fairly normal house with a garden and therefore are stuck with the amount of space we have which has limited us to our three Blackrock hens and a 3mX6m Keder Greenhouse. The Solar Panels supplement our energy use but we are hitting on the limits of our location. The general direction we are wanting to head is along the lines of a croft preferably off-grid and remote, so plenty challenges ahead..

 and welcome from an overcast Shropshire. Good luck with your plans. The idea of a croft miles from anywhere has a lot of appeal.
