After an afternoon of organising show-stuff and halter training, I sat in one of my fields in the sun and just soaked it all in.... the fresh, newly cut, green grass, birds singing, pheasants hiding in the wheat field beside me, a small herd of calves in the other field and my sheepy-lovelies coming over to have their chins scratched and a chew on my trousers whilst a couple of them led down beside me allowing me to use them as a woolly pillow. That, combined with the Ben and Jerry's Caramel Sutra Core ice cream I sneaked in made my life as complete as it could possibly get. Oh, well.... maybe a cider as well would have made it totally out of this world but it was pretty out there!

We had a similar afternoon sat in the orchard, reading and surrounded by sleepy cats, dozing chickens and snoozing sheep. Fortunatly I had my camera and caught the sleepy snoozers in the act.
You are right, it dosent get better than that ;D .

;D
I sat in the field with the sheep at teatime, just looking at the view and scratching nearby heads. The difference a bit of sun makes

Yes it's fab isn't it - I'm lucky in that my garden overlooks the sheep and horses and I can just sit there taking it all in ;D - on the rare occasions that we do actually get some :sunshine: !

we have had a couple of gorgeous days - went to the beach on friday -weather beautiful and not to hot, yesterday lovely day at home, sunshine, just being with the sheep and chickens, but today - yuk heavy rain so far, i know we need rain but come back sun please :raining: :sunshine:

Lucky for me, I woke up to glorious sun after an early morning of forked lighting and massive thunder cracks... the loudest i think I have ever heard plus rain that almost smashed my windows in, it sounded like.
When I saw that sun I jumped outta bed and legged it down the field for some woolly-action before the dreaded forecast heavy rain kicked in and this is what I had to play with..........................
