The weather Gods said yes and today i got my hay baled.
Proud of my little tractor, bought for €150 with a grass topper..... spent about €400 on it and it runs a dream.
Turned the hay twice a day for 2 days, turned it at 10am today, rowed it up around 2pm and just finished bailing it... thought I would have around 500 bales, just checked the counter and have 723 !
Keeping 150 bales and just sold the balance to the local livery.... very happy.

Well done you
Our small bale baler has had an outing today, just to get her up and running for the year. 58 very heavy small bales under cover, 103 big round bales in the fields. What a sight! What a smell! What a feeling! ;D
At b1**&y last! :relief:
Now we just hope for another few dry sunny days after the next lot of wet stuff passes through...

Well done both  ;D

We took a chance on mowing another acre (got 4 more to do!) and just in the process of 'wrapping' it out in the shed now......or rather hubby is, with a glass of wine in hand :innocent: . So, 20 bales of big bale haylage already stacked, 26 small bales of haylage being wrapped as I type and another 4 acres to mow when we get another hot spell. Such a good feeling t'tint it :excited: :excited: .

My girl and I (OH away) just brought in and hand stacked 300ish bales. Took us 6 hours but we did it - thank goodness for the breeze this afternoon. Proud of us. Didnt think I'd manage it with my back but it was all so worth it when she put her arm around me at the end and said "We make a good team don't we Mum?" Now to find my TENS machine or perhaps a glass or two would numb the pain equally. :innocent:
More to bring in tomorrow but we have help. :relief:

And you need a decent sized glass. Mine hold a good third of a bottle.

We are baling ours this evening, not as much as you guys though. We have had a bad time with grass growth , lucky we only have the goats ! Last year we got so much we were using it in the chicken huts and for the goats bedding. No straw up here for a few years you see. ::) If we only get fifty bales it is still £300.00 worth in Shetland prices. Last years is now selling at £4.00 a bale!

I pay £4 here in Shropshire.

Bales done , turned out to be a hundred!!! Now knackered having baled in strong winds , rowing up by hand as the wind took it out of the hay bob and all stacked in our new hay shed. :relief: (< me)

Well done, Hermit. Hope you've headed for something alcoholic in a large glass.
