Post by: wren on August 09, 2012, 04:47:05 pm
Fancy doing something different, Acton Scott, a museum in Shropshire (the Victorian Farm was filmed there) has a one day 'Victorian' corset making course on September 18th. Help to design and produce your own personalised pattern and then learn to make a corset, historic or modern. Basic materials are provided. More info call 01694 781540 or tweet @actonscottmuse. A friendly course in a beautiful place. http://tinyurl.com/bwmgtv4 (http://tinyurl.com/bwmgtv4)

Hi There is 'Plaiting for straw hats' - a starter course for learning to make plaits which form the basis for making straw bonnets and boaters. It's on the 13th October. The tutor is Margaret Newsome.
