Hi,
I have one hen with 3 chicks in one outdoor pen, and another hen with a chick, the same age as the others, in a big house. Unfortunately I do not have the space for another outdoor pen. When can I take the hens away, and put them back into the big flock, and integrate the chick into the pen with the others? The chicks are all around 8 weeks, so is this an ok age to take away the hens?
Thanks
:chook:

can your pens with chicks move into the area where the other hens are? If this could happen first for a week or so it would help with itegration...if not try putting them in one evenining and cross your fingers...the mum should protect little-un.

So you think I should put the hen&chick in with the other hen&chicks? Can't I just put the chicks together?
