ive got to kill a cockeral thats not doing the bizzo... its just over a year old and have only killed youngsters so far...... whats the receipe for boiling then roasting an older bird...harry

How do you know he isn't doing 'it'?  I never saw Kiri 'at it', but we had baby RIRs!

because after 3 months of sucessfull hatching the last 2 batches 40 eggs in totall have all been clear except 1 and i put him into a new pen of fresh hens and he totally ignored them.... they normally pounce on them in seconds.... no replies yet surely someone has preboiled a bird before roasting??????????

We just did an 11 mth old cockerel, didnt boil him though just roasted!

We have just killed a cockerel and I am about to pluck him we intend to boil him and then make a curry out of him so we will boil till cooked but  I am afraid idont know how long you would do it if you intend to roast him afterwards!
