We have a couple of bags of seed potatoes left over that didn't get planted and now they are breaking out of their sacks.
Any ideas how best to dispose of them? I am reluctant to put them on the compost heap as I don't really want potatoes popping up everywhere in the heap.

plant some now??

I put mine on the bonfire!

Either put them under water in a big tub (if you have a tub big enough) for a couple of weeks and then compost or put them on the compost heap but cover with black plastic or something similar.

Plant them like ditw says.
Loads of 2nd crop spuds in oct/nov .

it works to plant them in racks of about 4 tyres high really well at this time of year ;D

Plant them and get a later crop of potatoes :farmer:

I'd plant them. Did last year in a large bucket in the polytunnel and we harvested in spring ;D . Blight-free, too, what I can not say of the main crop this summer :'( :&>
