Just seen this on freecycle
Offered: good home wanted for shetland ponies Gorslas Sat Jul 28, 2012 10:00 am (PDT) . Posted by: "rosadebartolomeo" rosadebartolomeo (?subject=Re%3A%20Offered%3A%20good%20home%20wanted%20for%20shetland%20ponies%20Gorslas) I am looking for a really good home for 24 shetland ponies in all. About 14 mares in foal,9 foals 3 months old and a very good pedigree stallion.
The mares and stallion have their passports but the foals do not have one yet but can travel with their mothers although they will require passports at some stages.
They are of a small size and some really small.
They need a new home because due to a recent life threatening accident we can no longer focus on looking after them and would very much like to see them going as a group to somebody with some land and some time to give them.
They do very well on rough land and are outside all year round being very hardy. Some experience would be advisable and of course a suitable transport
Please email for further info
Thanks

Sounds like a scam and if not should be in touch with World Horse Welfare. At least they would make sure ponies got taken care off.

I find this odd to say the least.
Giving away large numbers of pedigree stock - not even on a horsey forum but on freecycle??
Hmm.

Outrageous to say the least IMO

Well it seems as if she has found some possible homes. This was posted in freecycle this evening
Taken: 23 shetland ponies Sun Jul 29, 2012 8:47 am (PDT) . Posted by: "rosadebartolomeo" rosadebartolomeo (?subject=Re%3A%20Taken%3A%2023%20shetland%20ponies) Thanks to everybody who answered and also to everybody who tried to help giving suggestions.
The ponies are still here but we had a huge response and have decided to narrow it down to two or three local people and the ponies will most likely go by tonight, but thanks again to anyone who offered a home to all or some of them.
